The growing popularity of social networking sites such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook has lead many business owners to slam Anti-Social Networking Orders or ASNOs (pronounced /ˈæznoʊ/) against their staff for visiting social networking sites. In their defence estimates puts the cost to UK business' at around £6.5 billion a year in lost productivity and questionable bandwidth usage.
So is social networking a waste of time?
